Job Description
Regions is hiring a Hospital Social Worker. Come join our dynamic and passionate Social Work team! This position is a .8 FTE working MondayFriday 8a4:30p.
Regions HospitalMedical Social Workers provide patients and families with the psychosocial support needed to cope with chronic acute or terminal illnesses within a hospital setting. Delivers professional and thorough social work services including psychosocial assessment and intervention planning. As a social worker you would support patients and family care givers providing patient education and counseling and making referrals for other services. This position will work independently and as part of a team working effectively with various internal and external partners patients families and physicians to facilitate patient care.
Work Schedule:
MF daytime hours weekend rotation
Required Qualifications:
- MSW from a program accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) or a similar accreditation body designated by the Minnesota Board of Social Work.
- LGSW LISWor LICSW Licensure MN Board of Social Work
- 1 year of experience in healthcare or social services 2 years of social work experience in LICSW)
