Job Description
SAP FICO Consultant
Overview: The SAP FICO Consultant plays a pivotal role within an organization by leveraging their expertise in SAP Financial Accounting and Controlling (FICO) to drive financial transformations and improve operational efficiencies. This position is critical for ensuring that financial processes are seamlessly integrated with the larger SAP ecosystem. As a key member of implementation teams the SAP FICO Consultant supports various projects by combining their technical knowledge with a deep understanding of business finance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and configure SAP FICO modules based on client specifications.
- Collaborate with business analysts to gather and document requirements for projects.
- Guide financial processes including accounts payable and receivable.
- Create and maintain technical documentation including process flows and system configurations.
- Support data migration activities from legacy systems to SAP.
- Conduct system testing and validation to ensure functionality meets specifications.
- Analyze and troubleshoot SAP FICO issues and provide effective solutions.
- Train endusers on SAP FICO functionalities and best practices.
- Engage in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance financial processes.
- Assist in system integration and upgrade projects involving FICO components.
- Conduct workshops and meetings with stakeholders to gather feedback and assess system performance.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and corporate policies through SAP configurations.
- Monitor and report on project progress risks and issues relating to SAP FICO.
- Develop and implement financial reporting using SAP tools.
- Provide postimplementation support and troubleshooting to clients.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting Computer Science or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in SAP FICO consulting or a related financial role.
- Indepth understanding of SAP financial modules and functionalities.
- Strong analytical and problemsolving abilities.
- Experience with financial reporting and analysis tools.
- Proficiency in project management methodologies.
- Working knowledge of integration points between SAP and other systems.
- Familiarity with accounting principles and financial regulations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Experience in conducting user training and support.
- Capability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
- Certifications related to SAP FICO are a plus.
