Job Description: The Florida Everblades Hockey Club and Hertz Arena are seeking a Community Relations Intern to join our team. As a Community Relations Intern you will be responsible for assisting the marketing department in promoting the team and arena within the local community. This is a great opportunity for someone enthusiastic organized and eager to gain experience in the sports industry.
Responsibilities:
Assist with planning and executing community events and appearances.
Collaborate with local schools nonprofit organizations and businesses to organize community outreach initiatives.
Develop and maintain relationships with community partners.
Assist with the coordination of ingame promotions and activities.
Create and distribute promotional materials to increase awareness of team and arena events.
Assist with social media content creation and scheduling.
Other duties as assigned by marketing department personnel.
Requirements:
Currently pursuing or recently graduated students with a degree in Marketing Event Management or a related field preferably for college credit.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and social media platforms.
Availability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
Must have reliable transportation.
