Job Description

Director Business Development Cyber

Tokio Marine HCC a global power in the specialty insurance industry is seeking a highly proficient Director Business Development. This position is responsible for the development of new and existing business for all lines of business
within the Cyber & Professional Lines Group

About the role:

This position is responsible for the development of new and existing business for all lines of businesswithin the Cyber & Professional Lines Group. Primary duties include identifying business opportunitiesidentifying building and maintaining successful relationships with prospects and existing clientscollaborating with VP Business Development and/or executives on business strategy to determineobjectives evaluating current business performance and maximizing reach and potential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Relying on extensive knowledge and advanced leadership skills this role is accountable for the following responsibilities:

  • Responsible for managing broker/agent relationships meeting key performance indicators and identifying as well as developing new business by marketing within assigned territory.

  • Foster additional business opportunities through business travel virtual meetings conferences and industry events.

  • Develop indepth knowledge of company offerings to identify profitable business opportunities and remains current and familiar on all company products.

  • Help build longterm relationships between TMHCC underwriters and broker partners through setting up virtual and in person meeting and introductions.

  • Conduct broker and agent training using webinars and other web conferencing utilities.

  • Tracks reports and maintains database of current and prospective contacts marketing campaigns opportunities and outreach activities in Salesforce or other CRM tools.

  • Work with the marketing team to develop adapt and implement specific marketing strategies and materials for new warm or cold prospects. Also creates campaigns based on market research/intel.

  • Ensure sound working relationships with clients and other company departments by acting as the point of contact

Position Knowledge Skills and Requirements

  • 4 years bachelors degree preferred

  • 10 years of relevant and progressive insurance industry business development. Wholesale and/or retail existing book of business preferred.
