Are you passionate about social justice and ready to make a difference in the lives of our students As a Residential Counselor you will be able to convey your passion for helping others with a dynamic team by bringing an energetic and positive approach while working with our students!
Littleton Academyis a residential treatment setting for latencyaged students that specializes in trauma informed care. Littleton provides 24hour comprehensive care including a school on site a full clinical staff nursing staff and direct care staff.
Schedule:2nd Shift
Salary: $21.00/hour
Due to the nature of our work and the youth who are depending on us there are times where overtime may be mandated.
JRI Provides The Training So That:
- YOUwill be able to develop your skills in providing enriching daily activitiesfor our studentssuch asarts and craftsrecreational activities including offsite fieldtripsandmore!
- YOU willbe able to create a safe and therapeuticcommunitybysupporting students in developingandbyrole modelingeffective copingstrategies.
- YOU will helpstudentsdiscover what makes them feel competent and valuedby working with themto develop life skills suchas cooking banking vocational skills and more.Yourdaytodayworkwillsupport studentsindeveloping a sense of selfandprovide them the skills to be successful in their next steps.

Requirements:
- Must be 21 years of age.
- Maintains valid drivers license as transporting students is required.
- Available to work evenings holidays weekend shifts as required.
- At JRI you will learn to provide physical interventions and verbal deescalations to provide the safest therapeutic atmosphere for our students!
- Background and driving record checkswill be performed.
