About the Opportunity:
As anICI New Build Superintendentyou will take charge of onsite operations for highprofile commercial retail and institutional projects across the GTA. This is more than just a leadership roleits an opportunity to work with a team that prioritizes quality efficiency and above all safety. Youll be leading site teams coordinating with project managers and subcontractors and ensuring that all work is completed on schedule and to the highest standards. But just as importantly youll be a champion ofa strong safety cultureensuring that best practices are followed and that every crew member understands their role in maintaining a safe and productive job site. Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations of construction sites ensuring adherence to project plans specifications and safety standards.
- Work closely with project managers and estimators to meet project timelines and objectives.
- Supervise and coordinate subcontractors suppliers and site personnel to maintain project efficiency and quality.
- Promote and enforce strict adherence to health and safety protocols ensuring a safe work environment for all team members.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure work meets established quality standards and project requirements.
- Monitor project timelines and budgets implementing effective solutions to address any challenges or delays.
- Maintain accurate records of daily site activities progress reports and safety documentation.
What You Bring:
A minimum of 10 years of experience in ICI construction with at least 5 years in a superintendent role focusing on new build projects.
Bachelors degree or Diploma in Construction Management Engineering or a related field is an asset.
Proven expertise in managing midscale ICI construction projects from inception to completion.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage and motivate onsite teams.
Indepth knowledge of construction safety protocols and a demonstrated commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
Excellent problemsolving abilities and decisionmaking skills in highpressure situations.
Exceptional communication and organizational skills with proficiency in project management software and tools.
A valid drivers license and the flexibility to travel to various project sites within the GTA as required.
