Essential Job Functions

Position: Mason

Department: Engineering

Primary Responsibilities: guest interaction ordering responsibilities clean up duties clerical responsibilities etc.

Journeyman skill level to consist of accepted 4 year program with classroom time and 8000 hours or experience and technical skill equal to the apprenticeship from working in the trade for a number of years.

Includes but is not limited to: Finish Plaster work Block Work Finish Concrete Work Demolition Work Use of Power Hand Tools Use of Mixing Sawing and Drilling Tools as related to mason work.

Normal Working Hours: (Shift days

normal shift is 8:004:30 MF but may vary according to the Hotel needs

overtime required

In order to be successful in this position the ideal candidate must meet the following criteria

Past Work Experience Requirements: (Type of work number of years required equivalent experience etc.

Experience and technical skills equal to the apprenticeship form working in the trade for a number of years.

Educational Requirements: (Degree/Certification highest required/preferred field of study)

High School Diploma or G.E.D. preferred

Communication Skills Requirements: (Verbal: phone inperson group; Written: memos documents)

Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers

Technical Requirements:

Valid West Virginia drivers license

Skills necessary to be a journeyman mason

Applicants to perform the following activities to demonstrate qualifications in reference to accepted production standard and quality:

Laying of brick and block

Plastering to include wall construction of channel and lathe

Concrete placement rebar installation and concrete finishing

Misc. other Mason activities
