Job Description
Position: Upholstery Trainee
Department: Upholstery
Primary Responsibilities: guest interaction ordering responsibilities clean up duties clerical responsibilities etc.
Replace fabric and fabric like materials on soft furniture
Replace/mend window shades
Replace/install/repair carpet floor covering
Replace/install window coverings
Upholstering of walls
Secondary Responsibilities:
General Fabric Installation and repair
Setting up production setup
Normal Working Hours: (Shift days
8:00am4:30pm. Some weekend overtime and holiday work required
In order to be successful in this position the ideal candidate must meet the following criteria

Past Work Experience Requirements: (Type of work number of years required equivalent experience etc.
Previous upholstery and carpet laying experience preferred
Educational Requirements: (Degree/Certification highest required/preferred field of study)
High School Diploma or G.E.D. preferred
Communication Skills Requirements: (Verbal: phone inperson group; Written: memos documents)
Must be able to understand and follow directions both written and orally.
Must be able to communicate both written and orally
Technical Requirements:
Must be able to demonstrate basic math operations skills
Must be able to demonstrate the ability to read measurements with a ruler and yardstick
Participation in workshops certification programs and other training is required.
