Job Description
Environmental Internship
Join T. Baker Smiths environmental team for the opportunity to work alongside professional engineers field specialists and scientists. A desire to conduct field work across the Gulf Coast technical daytoday project support provide critical input to team members and assisting the team in helping our clients develop solutions that both enhance the communities and benefit their projects.
Your Opportunity:
Assist in the development and coordination of environmental projects.
Conduct fieldwork for wetland delineations threatened and endangered species surveys due diligence site studies and other environmental field activities.
Prepare the deliverables for projects as part of an integrated team.
Gather and prepare data to assist in proposal development.
Participate in professional development and training.
Gain exposure to client relations by attending client meetings.
Qualifications and Skills:
Actively enrolled students in their junior or senior level classes pursuing a degree in biology environmental science geology forestry wildlife fisheries botany or similar field.
Capability to work in the field on various terrain.
Ability to operate computer using technical software which includes computer aided drafting and other applications spreadsheets and other business software.
Excellent communication and diplomacy skills.
Experience comes in different forms; many skills are transferable and passion goes a long way.
