Job Summary:

This is an officebased position in Salt Lake City for an established and reputable mechanical contractor.

The Senior Mechanical Designer will be responsible for evaluating new and existing client requests for proposals and developing costeffective mechanical and plumbing solutions that are technically sound accurate and energyefficient. This role requires expertise in HVAC and plumbing system design project coordination and mentoring junior staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess client proposals and develop mechanical/plumbing solutions that align with project needs and budget considerations.
  • Create schematiclevel drawings based on preliminary load calculations to support material takeoffs and equipment pricing
  • Contribute in developing project proposals basis of design narratives and life cycle cost analyses for various hvac/plumbing systems.
  • Conduct presentations for general contractors or owners on HVAC and plumbing engineering topics related to proposed mechanical solutions.
  • Attend project start meetings and design/construction coordination meetings

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree
  • PE License
  • 5 years of professional experience in HVAC/plumbing system design.
