About the role
We now have the opportunity to permanently recruit to this Team Manager post in Mental Health supporting a dedicated and knowledgeable team of mental health social workers. The role will require close working and collaboration with partners across the North London Mental Health partnership as well as with LBB colleagues and teams.
About you
As Team Manager for the South Mental health Social Work team you will be providing oversight and supervision for a team of social workers and assessment and enablement officers working with adults and older adults experiencing difficulties managing their mental health needs.
The successful applicant will have an understanding of working with statutory duties under the Mental Health Act as well as the Care Act and Mental Capacity Act and to be able to provide guidance and quality assurance to the work of the team.
Excellent collaborative and communication skills are essential as we work alongside colleagues in the MH Trust facilitating hospital discharges and ensuring continuity of care. The team are responsible for assessment and planning with individuals safeguarding enquiries and providing an enabling and risk positive approach to supporting independence in the community.
As Manager of the team you will oversee the quality of practice of the team support complex and legal case management and the effective use of public resources in responses to referrals.
