Position: Manager on Duty
Department:Operations
Reports to: Operations Manager
Primary Responsibilities:
Be the Front of House management presence.
Coach and counsel operations employees to reflect The Greenbrier Standard of Ladies and gentlemen serving ladies and gentlemen.
Perform all tasks of the operations staff to facilitate excellent guest service.
Ensure all operations and cash handling are done per policies and procedures.
Maintain an excellent line of communication with all departments in the hotel.
Maintain information on prices rates specials packages etc. While ensuring that all team members are appropriately trained in these areas.
Analyze investigate and resolve guest complaints.
Secondary Responsibilities:
Inspect the quality and cleanliness of the lobby and front office areas both FOH and BOH.
Maintain the daily MOD log.
Normal Working Hours:
Hours vary based on business needs.
Past Work Experience Requirements:
2 years experience in hospitality industry or related field preferred
Experience at The Greenbrier preferred
Educational Requirements:
Hotel Management degree preferred
Communication Skills Requirements:
Excellent written and oral skills
Technical Requirements:
Computer proficiency with word processing spreadsheets and databases
Good documentation skills
Physical Requirements:
Ability to work in all climates
Mobile at all times
Work Conditions:
Varied due to climatically changing weather
High stress
Required Supervision:
Little; must be able to manage time with the demands of the business
