The University of Portland located in Portland Oregon USA invites applications for a faculty position as an Instructor and Laboratory Coordinator in the Department of Chemistry & Biochemistry to begin August 15 2025. The University of Portland is a primarily undergraduate institution comprising four professional schools and the College of Arts and Sciences CAS which houses our strong liberal arts Core Curriculum required of all students. The University Core provides students in all disciplines a unifying set of experiences and promotes engagement with the Six Core Habits of Heart and Mind which include Global & Historical Consciousness and Diversity & the Common Good. The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry provides students with active engaging and handson learning experiences with American Chemical Society ACS certified degree options in chemistry and biochemistry. The department is equipped with stateoftheart instrumentation used in teaching and research. The candidate will play a role in shaping the development of the program and its students.
