Job Description
About Role:
We are looking for a Business Intelligence & Data Visualization expert with 23 years of experience who will be responsible for end to end BI & Visualization solutions development and project delivery across multiple clients. He/She would also support consulting engagement and should be able to articulate and architect the solution effectively to bringin the values which data analytics & visualization solutions can deliver.
Client Engagement & Requirement Analysis
- Collaborate with clients to capture highlevel and detailed project requirements.
- Understand business problems define BI objectives and provide bestfit solutions.
Business Intelligence Development
- Design develop and optimize Power BI dashboards reports and data models.
- Ensure visually appealing userfriendly and performanceoptimized solutions.
Team Leadership & Mentorship
- Manage mentor and train a team of Power BI developers.
- Create and implement robust training plans best practices and knowledgesharing frameworks.
- Provide technical guidance and clear direction to junior team members when they get stuck or need advanced help.
Project & Delivery Management
- Lead endtoend project management on the Power BI front from requirement gathering to deployment.
- Coordinate project timelines deliverables and resource allocation ensuring ontime and highquality output.
CrossFunctional Collaboration
- Work closely with Data Engineering teams to ensure data architecture (star schema data flows etc. supports frontend requirements.
- Advocate for and communicate specific Power BI backend needs (AAS Dataflows etc. to ensure smooth and efficient development.
Client Communication & Stakeholder Management
- Facilitate clear communication with clients regarding project updates deliverables and feedback cycles.
- Produce comprehensive documentation of progress requirements and results.
Performance Optimization & Continuous Improvement
- Introduce and maintain best practices for Power BI performance tuning security and governance.
- Stay updated on new features and enhancements within the Power BI ecosystem and integrate them into solutions.
Requirements
Power BI Expertise
- Minimum 46 years of handson experience in Power BI including design development and deployment of complex dashboards.
- Expert in publishing reports to app.powerbi configuring connections and scheduling data refresh.
Data Modeling & DAX
- Strong understanding of star schema data warehousing principles and relational databases.
- Indepth experience with DAX for complex calculations (e.g. moving sums dynamic tables/values cumulative aggregates).
Power Query & Performance Tuning
- Proven ability in data cleansing error handling and optimization using Power Query.
- Skilled in performance tuning techniques to handle large data sets efficiently.
Visual Design & Theming
- Experience creating visually engaging and userfriendly dashboards.
- Familiarity with Power BI themes reusable templates and layout best practices.
Dataflows & Integration
- Understanding of Power BI Dataflows how to set them up and effectively manage data ingestion.
- Knowledge of SSRS integration and other peripheral services that align with Power BIs ecosystem.
Project & Team Management
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks in a fastpaced environment.
- Strong communication documentation and stakeholder management skills.
ProblemSolving & Conceptual Thinking
- Capacity to translate complex business requirements into streamlined BI solutions.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to quickly resolve technical issues.
