The Sales Head for SADC &SubSaharan Africa (SSA) is responsible for the development and of OurClients Kidney Care range sales and growth strategies in the region. This rolerequires leading the sales and marketing teams both within the portfolio andwith key distributors ensuring the success of Our Clients Kidney Care productportfolio including Acute PD (Peritoneal Dialysis) and HD (Hemodialysis)therapies. The Sales Head will manage significant regional projects and istasked with meeting ambitious sales and profitability goals in a fastevolvinghealthcare landscape. This includes ensuring distributor relationships marketpenetration and compliance with Our Client Kidney Care s strategic goals. Theyearly sales target starts from USD 30M onward.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute strategies to drive profitable growth for OurClients Kidney Care product portfolio including PD HD and Acute therapies.
- Manage and optimize distributor relationships ensuringhighperformance outcomes and alignment with company objectives.
- Lead the regional organization in meeting both short andlongterm P&L objectives driving market expansion sales andprofitability.
- Identify new business opportunities including opening new marketsand expanding product offerings in key areas of SADC and SSA.
- Oversee largescale projects including distributor transitions)ensuring successful implementation and sustainable growth.
- Engage with key opinion leaders (KOLs) medical societies andstakeholders to drive product acceptance and adoption in healthcare systemsacross the region.
- Ensure regulatory compliance ethical business practices andadherence to internal policies.
- Drive improvements in market access pricing and reimbursementframeworks particularly in government and private healthcare sectors.
- Support digital transformation initiatives including the use oftools like TrueVue Analytics and Sharesource for PD monitoring andoptimization.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to streamline processesmanage costs and maximize resource utilization.

- Distributor Management: Lead and manage largescale distributortransitions including strategies to grow market share and improve efficienciesin key regions.
- Market Expansion: Drive efforts to expand portfolio footprint inSADC and SSA with a specific focus on PD and Acute therapy penetrationparticularly in underdeveloped markets.
- New Product Launches: Support the launch and growth of strategicproducts such as Citrate and Extraneal focusing on maximizing sales in keymarkets.
- Regional Projects: Oversee key initiatives (Projects)and other strategic initiatives aimed at boosting the portfolios regionalinfluence.
Requirements
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelors degree in Business Marketing or relatedfield. An MBA or other advanced degrees would be an advantage.
- Experience: 1520 years of experience in sales and marketingwithin the healthcare or pharmaceutical industry with a focus on the SADC andSSA regions.
- Distributor Management Expertise: Proven track record of managingdistributor relationships and leading largescale regional projects.
- Leadership: Strong ability to lead crossfunctional teams mentorstaff and inspire highperformance across diverse regions.
- Market Knowledge: Deep understanding of market trends pricingstructures and healthcare dynamics in the SADC & SSA regions.
- Regulatory Compliance: Familiarity with regional healthcareregulations pricing and reimbursement frameworks.
- Communication: Fluent in written and spoken English. Additionallanguages spoken in the region are a plus.

They must possessa deep understanding of the healthcare market dynamics in the SADC andSubSaharan Africa (SSA) regions including regulations reimbursement systemsand healthcare delivery models.
- The candidate should have substantial experience managingdistributor relationships negotiating contracts and driving highperformanceresults in complex multimarket environments. A strong financial acumen isrequired with the ability to manage P&L budgets and financial metricslike Net Sales and Standard Gross Profit (SGP) ensuring profitability and costcontrol.
- They should be wellversed in Our Client Kidney Care s productportfolio particularly Acute Peritoneal Dialysis (PD) and Hemodialysis (HD)therapies and knowledgeable about key products such as Citrate and Extraneal.Experience with market access strategies and engaging with key opinion leadersregulatory bodies and healthcare providers is essential.
- The candidate must also demonstrate leadership in managinglargescale regional projects like distributor transitions and have a proventrack record in expanding market reach launching new products and drivingregional growth strategies.
