Job Description

Overview: The Semi Qualified Company Secretary (CS) or Chartered Accountant (CA) plays a crucial role in ensuring that the firm complies with relevant corporate laws and regulations. This position is vital for maintaining the integrity of the organization by providing professional guidance on corporate governance and compliance standards. The Semi Qualified CS/CA will assist in various tasks including legal drafting documentation and managing company secretarial records. They will work closely with senior members and gain handson experience in corporate law matters financial reporting and strategic advisory roles. The successful candidate should be proactive possess a strong understanding of legal frameworks and demonstrate excellent analytical skills. Their contributions will significantly enhance the firms ability to navigate the complexities of corporate governance which is essential for its operational success and reputation in the industry.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the preparation and filing of corporate documents with regulatory authorities.
  • Conduct research on corporate laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
  • Draft and review contracts agreements and other legal documents.
  • Support in preparing board meeting minutes and resolutions.
  • Maintain and update statutory registers and company records.
  • Assist in conducting due diligence for corporate transactions.
  • Provide advisory support on corporate governance practices.
  • Collaborate with various departments to ensure compliance with internal policies.
  • Participate in audits and assist in preparing financial statements.
  • Help in managing client relationships and addressing their queries.
  • Monitor changes in corporate law and suggest necessary adjustments in compliance practices.
  • Assist in the preparation of reports for management review.
  • Support senior CS/CA in strategic planning and risk management activities.
  • Participate in team meetings to discuss progress and objectives.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies to enhance compliance operations.
Required Qualifications:
  • Partially qualified Company Secretary (CS) or Chartered Accountant (CA).
  • Strong understanding of corporate law and compliance frameworks.
  • Knowledge of financial reporting and accounting principles.
  • Familiarity with company secretarial practices and regulations.
  • Prior internship experience in a law firm or corporate environment is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel Word PowerPoint).
  • Strong analytical and research skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and tasks.
  • Strong ethical standards and professionalism.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of risk management principles.
  • Willingness to learn and develop professionally.
