We are seeking an ambitious and strategic Finance Lead to oversee and optimize
financial operations in Colombia. This role will be responsible for managing the financial
and accounting teams ensuring compliance with US GAAP and local fiscal regulations
managing financial planning and analysis and supporting executive decisionmaking.
The ideal candidate will have strong leadership and communication skills experienced in multinational
financial management and the ability to drive financial efficiency while maintaining high
compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Leadership & Strategy:
- Manage the financial team ensuring accurate of accounting financial projections and reporting.
- Oversee financial planning budgeting forecasting and variance analysis.
- Develop and implement financial strategies that support business objectives and growth.
- Prepare and submit financial reports under tight deadlines.
- Provide insights to senior management for strategic decisionmaking.
Compliance & Regulatory Oversight:
- Ensure financial operations comply with US GAAP and local fiscal regulations.
- Manage relationships with external auditors ensuring proper financial controls and reporting accuracy.
- Monitor tax compliance including sales tax implications and research the financial impact of transactions.
- Review payroll processes to ensure compliance with labor laws tax regulations and internal policies.
Risk Management & Internal Control:
- Implement and enhance internal financial controls to optimize efficiency and mitigate risk.
- Monitor cash flow financial transactions and FX exposure to support liquidity and working capital management.
- Ensure proper reconciliation and monthend/yearend close procedures are completed accurately and efficiently.
Business Support & Financial Optimization:
- Work crossfunctionally with other departments to support financial decisionmaking and business strategy.
- Assist in evaluating new opportunities financial investments and costsaving initiatives.
- Provide valueadded financial analysis and insights to key stakeholders supporting business growth.
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting Economics or a related field. A Masters degree or professional certification (CPA CFA ACCA) is a plus.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in financial management including leadership roles.
- C1 (advanced) English proficiency with the ability to communicate effectively in both written and spoken forms.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and fiscal regulations.
- Experience in financial planning budgeting variance analysis and strategic financial reporting.
- Advanced proficiency in financial tools and ERP software (preferably Netsuite) for financial management and reporting.
- Experienced in leading financial teams
