Visiting Assistant Professor of CHEMISTRY
The Chemistry Department at Pomona College invites applications for a oneyear fulltime Visiting Assistant Professor of chemistry beginning Fall 2025. The position has a teaching load of five courses per year and the successful candidate will teach lecture and laboratory courses in general chemistry and organic chemistry. Research facilities are available. A Ph.D. in chemistry by the start date is .
Pomona College is the founding member of the Claremont Colleges (Claremont McKenna Harvey Mudd Pitzer Pomona and Scripps) liberal arts colleges located 35 miles east of downtown Los Angeles. Pomona College and the Chemistry Department support equal access to higher education. The successful candidate will have the ability to teach and mentor exceptional students of diverse backgroundsutilizing pedagogical practices that are rigorous inclusive and which promote academic equity.
