Job Description
As the Project Executive you will be responsible for overseeing the successful of multiple new construction projects ensuring adherence to budgets timelines and quality standards. Your strong leadership abilities extensive project management expertise and ability to cultivate client relationships will be critical to the success of our new construction division.
Responsibilities
- Strategic Project Leadership:
- Lead the planning coordination and of new construction projects from initiation to completion.
- Serve as the primary operational point of contact between the company and general contractors clients and internal teams.
- Collaborate with internal teams including engineering design procurement and construction to ensure seamless project delivery.
- Oversee the management of project schedules budgets and resources to ensure projects are completed within scope and on time.
- Actively seek opportunities to expand client relationships and generate additional business opportunities by understanding client needs objectives and expectations and ensuring project deliverables align with client requirements.
- Regularly communicate project status updates to stakeholders including clients executives and project teams.
- Project Management and Development:
- Build and lead a highperforming project management team providing mentorship guidance and support.
- Establish metrics for success and drive accountability across project teams facilitating project reviews and implementing continuous improvement.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture encouraging open communication and knowledge sharing.
- Set clear performance expectations and provide ongoing feedback to drive individual and team success.
- Identify training and professional development opportunities to enhance the skills and capabilities of the project management team.
- Promote a safetyconscious work environment ensuring compliance with company and industry safety standards.
- Financial Oversight and Budget Management:
- Manage project budgets and financial performance monitoring costs expenses and revenue.
- Collaborate with the estimating department to develop accurate project cost estimates and forecasts.
- Analyze project financial data identifying areas for cost optimization and profitability improvement.
- Review and approve project change orders ensuring alignment with client requirements and financial implications.
- Ensure project billing and invoicing processes are accurate timely and aligned with contract terms.
- Contractual and Risk Management:
- Review and approve contracts subcontracts and scopes of work.
- Manage change orders contract negotiations and dispute resolution as needed.
- Ensure compliance with all contractual obligations and mitigate potential legal risks.
- Conduct regular project site visits and inspections to monitor progress and identify areas for improvement.
- Address and resolve any projectrelated issues or disputes in a timely and effective manner.
- Additional Responsibilities:
- Handle additional responsibilities and projects as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in construction management civil engineering or a related field (Masters degree preferred).
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in project management within the commercial construction industry with a focus on new construction.
- Proven track record of successfully managing and delivering largescale commercial construction projects.
- Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and inspire crossfunctional teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Team player attitude is a must.
- Indepth knowledge of construction project management methodologies tools and best practices.
- Strong financial acumen and ability to manage project budgets and financial performance.
- Proficiency in project management software tools and MS Office applications.
- Professional certifications (e.g. PMP CCM) required.
