Nurse Educator (Remote)

Telephonic Care and Injection Training

Principle Working Relationships/ Contacts

Nurse Educators provide diseasestate and device education to assist patients/caregivers better manage their chronic condition and access appropriate resources associated with their prescribed medication. Nurse Educators are responsible for participating in oneonone communications with patients/caregivers. The Nurse Educator interacts with enrolled patients/caregivers by telephone video platforms email and SMS strictly following the guidelines of the program. Nurse Educators do not provide medical advice or work clinically within this role and do not interact directly with healthcare providers or offices.

Nurse Educators report directly to a Nurse Manager working closely with other Nurse Educators and insurance care navigators/Concierge Support. Maintain a positive working relationship with patients and caregivers to ensure seamless onboarding initiation of therapy selfinjection instruction and ongoing adherence support.

Knowledge/Skills /Abilities

The Nurse Educator will:

• Coordinate and facilitate the connection between patients and program approved patientbased resources.
• Provide educational training to patients on specific disease states and medication administration as prescribed by their Healthcare professional.
• Provide education to foster appropriate dialogue between patient and health care provider
• Support treatment decisions made between the patient and healthcare provider.
• Provide product related training as outlined in the program guidelines
• Any additional duties as assigned by program management.

Nurse Educator Skills/Abilities:

• Excellent telephonic communication and patient education skills
• Experience in supporting patient/caregiver adherence to prescribed therapies
• Strong listening empathy and health coaching skills
• Strong organizing/planning/disciplined attention to details
• Knowledge of biologic therapies specialty pharmacy and managed care processes
• Computer Proficient (Microsoft Word Excel Outlook PowerPoint)
• Technology Proficient (Zoom MS Teams WebEx Salesforce Telephone systems)
• Ability to perform critical activities and tasks compliantly and adjust priorities to meet patient/caregiver needs goals and care outcomes.
• Ability to work independently and make decisions
• Ability to perform administrative responsibilities accurately and on time
• Selfmotivated high level of initiative results driven.
• Excellent judgment/ decision Making skills
• Demonstrated teamwork/collaboration
• Knowledge of Multicultural Nursing Social Determinants of Health and Motivational Interviewing a plus
• Health Coach Certification a plus

Required

Education/Experience:

• RN with current license in good standing

• Bachelors degree from an accredited university

• Strong communication and collaboration skills

• A minimum of 2 years nursing experience

• Ability to meet travel demands as required

• Ability to work independently as well as with a team

Preferred

• Previous pharmaceutical or call center Nurse Educator experience
• Previous pharma or medical sales experience
• Biologic therapy including injection training experience with patients/caregivers
