Job Description
Maximize facility profitability while producing quality products and efficiently utilizing labor materials and supplies. Maintain a safe work environment. Improve processes to increase
productivity and decrease costs. Meet production schedule to meet customer needs. Direct and manage plant personnel. Insure adherence to plant policies procedures and protocols. This position reports to the President of Global Coating Operations.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
- Coordination and management of plant activity and resources to efficiently and cost effectively meet production schedule. Resources to include personnel raw materials equipment supplies and utilities.
- Develop document and implement Standard Operating Procedures pertaining to plant process for plant personnel.
- Establish policies methods forms and reports to support SOPs. Develop and conduct training programs to accomplish the above.
- Assist in developing documenting implementing and managing quality assurance program for raw materials and for inprocess and finished goods.
- Program to include policies procedures laboratory test methods forms report files etc. Develop and conduct training programs to accomplish the above.
- Maintain a safe work environment. Insure employees are knowledgeable of safety policies and practice them.
- Ensure plant operates within permit parameters and meets regulatory requirements.
- Identify monitor and control process variable to generate higher quality product and to reduce labor materials supplies rework and s. Develop and implement projects/programs to accomplish the above.
- Develop teamwork. Utilize employee involvement programs to generate ideas programs and policies that will accomplish the goals of the plant.
- Quickly identify off spec material and address root cause.
- Monitor inventories of raw materials and supplies and match to production needs.
- Generate reports as required to capture key production process and quality information.
- Monitor variances and take corrective action as necessary.
- Keep President informed of production and quality issues on an as needed basis.
- Manage plant to maintain expected level of profit.
- Monitor P&L and budget variances. Take corrective action as required.
- Purchasing reselling and distributing of DuraShield powder products to licensees
- Perform other duties as required and necessary.
- Some college or twoyear associates degree in a technical field/engineering.
- Must have strong supervisory communication and problemsolving skills.
- Experience with spray coating operations and instrumentations including the programming of robots.
- SOP and QAQC experience.
