Job Description
Responsibilities:
As part of the Professional Services Team the Technical Solution will have the opportunity to:
- Gather requirements design and implement solution using SmartWorks application suite.
- Integrate SmartWorks application suite with 3rd party software interfaces.
- Develop and maintain project documentation standard operating procedures and other documentation as required.
- Leads SmartWorks team with client workshops to explain the product and gather requirements for configuration or customization if required
- Act as a liaison between SmartWorks customers 3rd party vendors and industry consultants.
- Will lead the effort for complex solutions/configurations on projects or in new markets
- Build a knowledge of Smart Metering infrastructure and best practices on analysis ofcorresponding data.
- Provide the Project Manager with regular updates on progress issues and ideas for resolution and successes.
- Takes ownership of SmartWorks implementation reviews its effectiveness collaborates with Directors on changes updates documentation and trains staff.
Essential Qualifications:
To meet this challenge you must possess a high level of initiative and energy as required to succeed in a fastpaced team environment as well as the following skills.
As a Solution Consultant you have:
- College diploma or University degree in a related technical field (for example Electric or Computer engineering Computer Science).
- Strong grasp of SQL and one or more Enterprise Database Software such as SQL Server Oracle etc.
- Familiarity working in Linux and Windows.
- Ability to travel in North America up to 30 of the time.
Preferably you also have:
- 3 years of relevant work experience in software implementation.
- Previous experience in training customers and writing technical documents.
- Previous experience in the Utilities industry is an asset but not required.
