Job Description
- Assist in planning organizing and implementing age appropriate activities.
- Ensure all program equipment is ready and accessible for each scheduled activity.
- Serve as a resource person for individual skills as required (i.e. belaying mountain biking etc..
- Ensure correct techniques safety practices facility safety and personal safety according to age ability and skill levels.
- Assist in ensuring proper orientation happens for groups using equipment that requires instructions (i.e. archery crosscountry skiing climbing etc..
- Supervise youth and guests during activities.
- Maintain a close intimate relationship with God as a devoted follower of Jesus Christ.
- Be an active participant in the life of a local church.
- Affirm and support our organizations Community Covenant and Statement of Faith and be committed to YFCs mission.
- Able to live and work in a camp environment during part of the year while being flexible and patient in nature.
- Embrace YFCs core values with a strong heart for evangelism.
- Ability to obtain and maintain active certifications and training in any of these designated areas: Lifeguard CPR/First Aid High Ropes Archery and Boating.
- Able to communicate and enforce policies and procedures to program participants and guests.
- Able to react quickly and properly in emergency situations.
- Able to work well in a team as well as on your own.
