WTis a consulting firm with over 65years of quality service that offers professional services in the southwestern United States in the fields of geotechnical engineering environmental engineering construction materials engineering and testing nondestructive testing and welding inspection.We have a fulltime opportunity for an experienced Construction Materials Special Inspector and Project Manager in our Flagstaff Arizona office established in the area over 45 years ago. This is an excellent opportunity for a talented professional to help lead the Northern Arizona Unit.
Responsibilities
- Work with project designers and clients to ensure that client specifications are followed
- Perform routine to complex inspections and testing of construction materials in the field
- Prepare daily reports on observation activities
- Review observation and test data for accuracy and completeness
- Assist with proposal scoping and preparation
- Track project budgets and prepare invoicing
- Assist with training supervision and mentoring of junior staff as needed
Education Experience and Skills
- 4 years of construction materials testing and observation experience required
- Ability to read and comprehend plans and specifications required
- Experience with performing IBC Special Inspections required
- Experience ranging from small to large complex construction and/or heavy highway projects preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 4year Civil Engineering degree preferred
- A valid drivers license and a clean driving history required
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail required
- Strong organization and planning skills required
- Comfortable with MS Office including Word Excel Outlook and OneDrive required
Minimum Certifications
- ACI Concrete FieldTesting Technician
- One ICC Certification
- One ATTI Certification
Preferred Certifications
- ICC Reinforced Concrete Special Inspector
- ICC Structural Masonry Special Inspector
- ICC Prestressed Concrete Special Inspector
- ATTI Field Technician or equivalent
- Nuclear Gauge / Radiation Safety
