Job Description
Business Insider is hiring a Leadership and Workplace correspondent to cover leadership strategies career advancement and evolving work culture.
Were seeking a seasoned reporter who can drive agendasetting coverage of the leaders workers and strategies behind many of Americas biggest companies. Our team is passionate about workplace trends from RTO and DEI policy changes to how AI is transforming peoples work. We aim to tell people what is happening and why it matters.
The Role
This correspondent will cover management moves stumbles and strategies and deliver sharp analysis and scoops of insight on the biggest leadership stories in business. Were looking for someone who could authoritatively analyze leadership choices decisions and strategies.
This person should be excited to become a goto expert across the newsroom for a leadership angle on the days big story thanks to their coverage of critical career and workplace issues. They should also embrace collaboration with reporters on different sections who are covering industries as varied as Big Tech and Hollywood to content creators and the gig economy.
This position is based in our New York City HQ and is unioneligible.
Key Responsibilities:
- Pitch and write original stories investigating and analyzing leadership strategies workplace policies and corporate culture shifts.
- Get exclusive scoops that make Business Insider a mustread destination
- Keep a deep Rolodex of business leaders to access the best insights possible about management strategies and moves.
- Constantly engage with sources attend industry conferences and stay ahead of emerging workplace trends.
The Ideal Candidate Has:
- Several years of experience in business journalism and ideally experience covering leadership and workplace transformations.
- Strong relationships with sources in corporate leadership HR and workforce research.
- Proven track record of breaking exclusive news and providing thoughtprovoking analytical reporting.
- Strong writing ability featuring quick accurate and conversational copy
- Ability to work independently manage multiple deadlines and quickly respond to breaking news.
Salary & Benefits
- Base salary: $120000 $160000 (dependent on skills experience and competencies)
