A Leading Medical Device company has a vacancy for Medical Sales Representative with Orthopedic and Neuro experience in the KZN region.
Key Requirements:
Selling the companys range of Spinal equipment to both Neuro as well as Orthopaedic surgeons;
Attend and assist surgical cases where needed in order to assist the theatre staff and Doctors with vital product information;
Grow Achieve and maintain annual sales budgets set out on an annual basis for the territory.
Maintaining and growing current Customer basis.
Arranging appointments with doctors and hospital medical teams which may include prearranged appointments or regular cold calling;
Presentations to doctors practice staff and nurses in surgeries hospital doctors and pharmacists in the hospital purchasing department. Presentations may take place in medical settings during the day or may be conducted in the evenings at a local conference venue;
Organising conferences CME meetings for doctors and other medical staff;
Building and maintaining positive working relationships with medical staff and supporting administrative staff;
Keeping detailed records of all contacts making this available on request of the company;
Planning work schedules and weekly and monthly timetables. This may involve working with or discussing future targets with the area sales manager.
Provide all required reports to the regional manager on a timeous and professional format;
Regularly attending company meetings technical data presentations and briefings this may be local as well as international;
Where required attend industry specific congresses which may take place in areas outside of your territory and would require one to spend time away from home;
Keeping uptodate with the latest clinical data supplied by the company and interpreting presenting and discussing this data with health professionals during presentations;
Monitoring competitor activity and competitors products providing feedback to the management team on a regular basis;
Maintaining knowledge of new developments in the reimbursement climate anticipating potential negative and positive impacts on the business and adapting strategy accordingly;
Developing strategies for increasing opportunities to meet and talk to contacts in the medical and healthcare sector;
Staying informed about the activities of health services in a particular area.
Requirements:
23 years Sales experience in Medical Devices.
Knowledge of Orthopaedic Neuro and Clinical Theatre Environment.
