Job Description

Advance your career in the Maryland/DC region! We invite you to join our team of multispecialty anesthesiologists at the University of Maryland. Were seeking boardeligible/boardcertified MD/DO anesthesiologists to support our rapidly expanding growth in both OR and nonOR environments. Opportunities currently exist at our downtown campus and community practices. Duties include clinical care and teaching of learners at all levelsSRNA medical students residents and fellows.

Our team is dedicated to helping faculty obtain outstanding skills and additional certifications in ultrasound simulation quality/safety/clinical research and expertise in many other disciplines. Our department has a very strong research profile #10 national 2023 Blue Ridge Ranking) as well as a perioperative data warehouse with resources to facilitate clinical research. We also offer excellent benefits (including tuition remission for both faculty and dependents) loan forgiveness competitive compensation and ample opportunities for academic growth and advancement.

Expected rank for this position will be Assistant Professor or higher however final rank and tenure status will be commensurate with selected candidates experience.

*The referenced salary range reflects base pay which is based on faculty rank and years in rank. This salary range does not include all components of the Department of Anesthesiology faculty compensation program or pay from participation in Department of Anesthesiology incentive compensation programs. Therefore the actual compensation paid to the selected candidate may vary from the salary range stated herein. For more information please contact the hiring department.

The referenced salary range represents the minimum and maximum salaries for this position and is based on the University of Maryland School of Medicines good faith belief at the time of posting. Not all candidates will be eligible for the upper end of the salary range. The actual compensation offered to the selected candidate may vary and will ultimately depend on multiple factors which may include the successful candidates geographic location skills work experience internal equity market conditions education/training and other factors as reasonably determined by the University.
