Key Responsibilities:
- Provide highlevel administrative and legal support to attorneys specializing in Asbestos and Toxic Tort litigation and/or related transactions.
- Draft proofread and format legal documents correspondence pleadings and discovery.
- Manage case files and maintain detailed case calendars including tracking deadlines and court dates.
- Coordinate scheduling travel arrangements and meeting logistics.
- Communicate with clients courts and opposing counsel with professionalism and discretion.
- Assist with efiling in state and federal courts and maintain proficiency with relevant court procedures.
- Perform time entry billing support and expense report processing.
- Maintain confidentiality and discretion with sensitive matters and case information.
Qualifications:
- Law firm experience required candidates must have worked in a legal assistant legal secretary or similar support role within a law firm environment.
- Experience in Asbestos and Toxic Tort litigation and/or transactions is required familiarity with case progression pleadings and terminology specific to this area is essential.
- Strong knowledge of legal procedures court rules and efiling systems.
- Exceptional organizational skills with a keen eye for detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal practice management systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Professional demeanor with a clientservice mindset.
