We are seeking a Leasing Manager to develop and implement leasing strategies liaise and negotiate transactions with current and prospective tenants let vacant space and ensure that renewals are completed timeously.
DUTIES
Leasing Manager
- Leasing and conclusion
- Develop maintain and implement a leasing strategy and tenant mix for the center taking into account retail trends and economic conditions subject to approval by the general manager.
- Canvassing for the new tenants and existing tenants for expansion suitable for the centers look feel and tenant mix.
- Manage applications for space
- Dealmaking and procuring tenants for vacant space.
- Undertake site visits and meeting of tenants on site.
- Oversight on tenant design and layout drawings.
- Monitor lease expiration and proactively manage renewals and tenant retention.
Strategic Relationship Management
- Building and maintains strategic business relationships.
- Building Strategic relationships with tenants to influence business performance.
- Building and maintain rwlationships within the retail property industry and with potential tenants in order to grow and maintain a competitive advantage
Reporeting
- Extract and provide timeous buisness reports.
- Building lease profile and lease expiring reports.
Centre Weekend Duties
- Successful of weekend duties.
- Responsible for weekend duties as agreed with the General Manager.
Risk Management
- identify and manages business risk.
- Ensure compliance with relevant Acts.
- Control managers and governs the process and systems within area of accountability to ensure compliance and minimise the business risk.
- Implement alt audit recommendations in area of accountability and resolve audit findings timeously of policies within area of responsibility.
Self Develolpment
- Participates in training amd development initiatives in line with personal development.
- Ensure that a personal development plan is developed and implemented.
Staff Management
- Manages peoples performance.
- Identify and obtain approval staffing requirements in line with approved organisational structure and budget
- Manages the implementation and review of individual role profiles.
- Develop and maintain the organisational structure in area of accountability and obtains approval from exco.
- Manages headcount in line with approved Equity plan.
- Manages performance on continual basis and is responsible for biannual performance reviews and IR related matters.
- Manages the implemented of individuals development plans.
- Develops the succession plan in area of accountability.

Requirements
- Matric
- Degree in property or finance
- 35 years retail leasing manager experience within a superregiona environment with a strong understanding of market trends deal making and brand positioning.
- The ability to manage retail lease negotiations renewals identify emerging retail brands and maintain strong tenant relationships
Required Experience:
