Job Description
We are partnering with an award winning Value Added Reseller headquartered out of Richmond VA to help grow their current Enterprise Networking team.
The position is a postsale (with some presales)Sr. Network Engineer located around DC area. Its perfect for someone looking to work with a consulting company to deliver complex infrastructure solutions to end customers across varies verticals and sizes. Its an ideal role for someone who loves implementation and delivery but also interfacing with customers to scope and craft Enterprise Networking Wireless and Security Solutions.
Technical Requirements:
- Skilled in the design implementation troubleshooting and support of one or more of the following:
- Cisco L2 and L3 switches including 35xx 37xx 45xx 65xx
- Cisco ISR WAN routers including 7200 28xx 29xx 38xx 39xx
- Cisco 7200 series WAN routers
- Cisco Adaptive Security Appliances including the 55xx series and Cisco PIX FirePower (SourceFire) Palo Alto
- Experienced with routing protocols such as EIGRP OSPF BGP and concepts such as ACLs and IPV6
- Able to create meaningful and detailed documentation including use of Microsoft Visio or similar tools
- Familiar with common network utilities such as SecureCRT PuTTY TFTP etc
- Possess excellent written and oral communication skills
- Possess excellent time management and customer service skills
- Experienced in handling and adapting to customerdriven requirements for design implementation and support activities
- Experienced in a Network Operations Center environment or a fastpaced customer support environment
- Able to appropriately handle customer generated trouble tickets with confidence and a professional demeanor
- Able to anticipate customer requirements and needs and a track record of exceeding expectations
- Possess an active mid or upper level Cisco certifications including CCNA CCNP CCDA CCDP CCIE Routing and Switching
- At least 5 years of practical experience in a Network Engineering or similarlytitled position is required
Candidates will be favored who have:
- Design implementation troubleshooting and support experience with Cisco ISE Enterprise Networking (WAN / LAN) DMVPN and security
- CCIE (either full or written)
- Experience with Value Added Resellers and/or Managed Services Providers
- Healthcare Banking or other regulatorydriven industry experience
- Experience with medium and large networks with multiple sites
