Are you passionate about health communications and obsessed with the media landscape Do you thrive on turning complex health stories into headlines If so Edelman Health is looking for a Media Supervisor to join our National Health Media Team (NHMT)a powerhouse group of 50 earned media experts across the country.
This is your opportunity to shape the narratives of some of the worlds leading healthcare brands by leveraging your media expertise news instincts and passion for storytelling. As part of our awardwinning Editorial and Media Strategies team youll work alongside former journalists and media specialists who bring newsroom thinking into every pitch plan and campaign.

What Youll Do
Serve as a daytoday media lead across multiple healthcare accountsdeveloping driving and executing earned media strategies that span national consumer health trade regional and local media outlets
Craft and deliver strategic media outreach plans that align with client business goals and integrated campaign objectives
Proactively pitch to key journalists and secure meaningful media placements across print broadcast online and emerging platforms
Lead the development of core media materials including pitch letters media lists briefing documents and coverage recaps
Manage media events interviews and deskside briefings from start to finish
Supervise and mentor junior staffproviding thoughtful feedback coaching and accountability
Build strong client relationships by providing sound counsel and clear communication
Stay on top of media trends public health conversations and breaking news to identify proactive media opportunities
Contribute to new business development by supporting media strategy development and presenting to prospective clients
Collaborate across Edelmans integrated teams (paid creative digital strategy) to ensure a cohesive media approach

Basic Qualifications:

    • Minimum of four years of communications experience including at least two years focused primarily on earned media strategy and
    • Bachelors degree in communications journalism public relations or a related field

Preferred Qualifications:

    • Deep knowledge of both traditional and emerging media platforms with the ability to recommend integrated strategies
    • Proven ability to lead daytoday media efforts across multiple accounts or campaigns
    • Experience managing health and wellnessrelated media campaigns including product launches informational interviews and executive visibility
    • Strong relationships with health and lifestyle media including national trade and regional outlets
    • Ability to develop timely newsworthy story angles that align with media cycles and client goals
    • Confident communicator who can manage client interactions media relationships and crossfunctional collaboration
    • Familiarity with the media logistics of spokesperson coordination interview staffing (virtual and inperson) and postinterview followup
    • Experience mentoring or supervising junior team members and managing project timelines and priorities
    • A proactive mindset and a drive to stay always on with whats trending in the health media space

An employees pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including but not limited to relevant education qualifications certifications experience skills seniority geographic location performance travel requirements revenuebased metrics any contractual agreements and business or organizational needs. The range listed is just one component of DJEHs total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses a Paid Time Off policy and regionspecific benefits.
