POSITION SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for application engineering for Industrial OEM / large aftermarket customers in PT division.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Other duties may be assigned beyond the core functions listed below.

1. Translate Customers Enquiries Drawings Specifications to Gates Parts and build BOMs and prepare quote proposals
2. To coordinate with Manufacturing and build samples as per customer requirements.
3. Responsible of handling key strategic customer calls on product or application engineering or specification issues and providing technical hot line support i.e. proper application and selection products Investigate applications and provide best solutions with existing products
4. Responsible for being the first line of contact between the sales group and colleagues in other key support groups
5. To Support the implementation of the Customer Alignment Model by developing strong engineering relationships with engineers within assigned key customers.
6. To Support the Product Commercialization Process on key projects.
7. Assist in resolving warranty claims by investigating application routing and any other technical requirements

1. To identify VA/VE opportunities and provide best solutions with existing products.
2. New product development time plan finalization with customer and supplier.
3. New product development and coordination of supplier & customer PPAP

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The incumbent reports to Senior Manager Application Engineering and support him in all day to day operations to achieve the business objectives of the company.

QUALIFICATIONS:To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge skill and/or ability required

• B tech Mechanical engineering with Min. 5 year experience in similar industry
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Strong experience as application engineering expert in manufacturing.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Fair amount (approx. 40 60 of domestic travel is required.
