SpeechLanguage Pathologist
Organization: Groves Learning Organization
Location: St. Louis Park MN
Position: SpeechLanguage Pathologist
Annual Salary: $4868k (paid out over 12 months)
Duration of the Position: August 18th 2025 June 5th 2026 (with the potential for annual renewal based on performance and continued need)

SUMMARY
The speechlanguage pathologist is a schoolyear position. The speechlanguage pathologist is responsible for the evaluation and treatment of students with languagebased learning disabilities. Develop and implement appropriate speechlanguage treatment plans including goals and objectives that meet the needs of each individual. Job requirements include consistently acting in a kind and respectful manner that positively impacts the communicative academic social and emotional success of every person that you are working with.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Conduct comprehensive speechlanguage evaluations and meet with families to review results and recommendations
  • Develop and implement speechlanguage pathology treatment plans that meet the specific needs of each individual
  • Provide multimodal instruction whenever possible taking into consideration individual strengths and weaknesses to allow every person the opportunity to reach their full potential
  • Evaluate progress of students under your care and communicate this to parents and caregivers through phone calls notes parentteacher conferences and progress reports on a timely basis
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary team including teachers counselors school administrators medical providers etc.
  • Collaborate with Groves Diagnostics Team by reviewing and interpreting psychoeducational and speechlanguage assessment results to inform plans of care
  • Continue to develop professional knowledge of speechlanguage pathology learning disabilities ADHD and other areas of diagnoses relative to clients who exhibit communication disorders through attendance at conferences workshops inservice meetings and reading professional journals
SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Communicate with faculty staff leadership administration community members and students in person by phone email and in writing. Respond to all inquiries within one to two business days.
  2. Complete professional projects and complete various professional tasks as needed
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Education Experience and Credentials
  • Open to clinical fellows
  • Masters Degree in Communication Sciences & Disorders
  • CCC Certificate of Clinical Competence (not applicable to clinical fellowship)
  • Current Minnesota SpeechLanguage Pathology License (Dept of Education and/or Dept of Health)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The employee must be able to:
  • Hear speak and communicate effectively in the English language including following oral and written instructions in order to communicate with people inside and outside the organization.
  • Sit at a desk for extended periods of time and perform long hours of work sitting at a computer.
  • Apply manual dexterity and visual acuity for computer keyboarding and office equipment use and to review detailed reports and information.
  • Move around the school and office area repeatedly throughout the day.

The work environment is indoors.
