Repair install adjust or maintain industrial production and processing machinery or refinery and pipeline distribution systems.
Your scope of responsibility
- Disassemble machinery or equipment to remove parts and make repairs.
- Repair or replace broken or malfunctioning components of machinery or equipment.
- Repair or maintain the operating condition of industrial production or processing machinery or equipment.
- Examine parts for defects such as breakage or excessive wear.
- Reassemble equipment after completion of inspections testing or repairs.
- Observe and test the operation of machinery or equipment to diagnose malfunctions using vibration analysis and thermography.
- Operate newly repaired machinery or equipment to verify the adequacy of repairs.
- Clean lubricate or adjust parts equipment or machinery.
- Analyze test results machine error messages or information obtained from operators to diagnose equipment problems.
- Record repairs and maintenance performed.
- Clean and maintain supplies tools equipment and storage areas to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Determine proper storage methods identification and stock location based on turnover environmental factors and physical capabilities of facilities.
- Present a professional image at all times to clients and vendors and maintain a positive reputation for the company.
- Follow all relevant company policies and procedures.
- Assists other Departments and other administrative personnel as necessary.
- All other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- Ability to document maintenance orders and documents in a CMMS.
- Operate Alignment Instruments and Hydraulic Presses.
- Independently handle routine repairs and maintenance tasks
- General Purpose Turbine Troubleshooting
- Centrifugal Pump Troubleshooting
- Install align and balance machinery according to specifications
What you bring to OCI
Education Experience and/or Training
- High School diploma or equivalent training required.
- 5 years of experience working on rotating equipment in the petrochemical industry or equivalent.
Knowledge Skills and/or Abilities
- Mechanical Knowledge of machines and tools including their designs uses repair and maintenance.
- Design Knowledge of design techniques tools and principles involved in production of precision technical plans blueprints drawings and models.
- English Language Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words rules of composition and grammar.
- Production and Processing Knowledge of raw materials production processes quality control costs and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
- Safety Health & Environmental knowledgeable of the concepts procedures and regulations affecting the effective safety of a facility.
- Repairing Repairing machines or systems using the needed tools.
- Equipment Maintenance Performing routine maintenance on equipment and determining when and what kind of maintenance is needed.
- Operation Monitoring Watching gauges dials or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly.
- Troubleshooting Determining causes of operating errors and deciding what to do about it.
- Quality Control Analysis Conducting tests and inspections of products services or processes to evaluate quality or performance.
- Operation and Control Controlling operations of equipment or systems.
- Critical Thinking Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions conclusions or approaches to problems.
- Equipment Selection Determining the kind of tools and equipment needed to do a job.

- May work longer hours to meet deadlines as necessary.
