Job Description
Responsibilities and Functions:
Works under the supervision of the Dietary Department Head and Dietary Supervisors
Responsibilities are as follows;
- Keeping all areas of food storage organized and clean
- Serve residents with appropriate food portions per individual diet needs
- Assist with washing clearing and resetting tables
- Wash dishes/silverware cooking utensils and cookware
- Assist with stocking shelves as needed.
- Generate and assist with sub slips
- Help sweep & mop dining area at the shift end
- Help to kitchen area clean and ensure clean at end of shift
- Make up trays
- Stock upstairs cooler
- Pour coffee
- Help with any extras to be done
- Assist residents with elevators
- Other duties as assigned
- Attend required staff meetings.
Work hours as scheduled by supervisor
Servers and dishwashers are crosstrained between the 2 positions
- Must be at least 15 years of age with valid workers permit
- Current physical and TB test
- Ability to lift at least 25lbs
- Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time
- Ability to interact with others and provide good customer service
- Motivation and ability to work independently
- Demonstrates dependability
- Adherence to policies and procedures
