Job Description
The Opportunity:
Canfor is currently seeking a Mechanical Engineer Coop Student to join our team. In this role you will gain relevant experience working in an industrial setting and apply your educational background to everyday challenges.

- Knowledge in the areas of Mechanical Engineering design and maintenance.

The Role:
The position will report directly to the Maintenance/Engineering Manager and you will:
- Assist with evaluating equipment problems and failures to determine root cause with the goal of eliminating future failures by implementing long term corrective measures.
- Contribute technical support and planning to the Maintenance and Production departments.
- Identify design and implement innovative high return projects that enhance the operation and maintenance of the facility.
- Enter data into assets systems.
- Provide support for contractors on various major projects.
The Candidate:
- Previous experience in the Pulp and Paper Industry is an asset.
- Preference is completion of first or second term 3rd year Mechanical Engineering.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills; capable of working in a team environment.
- Must be selfmotivated.
- Currently enrolled or have graduated within the last year from postsecondary Mechanical Engineering or related field.
The Incentive
- Competitive salary $54500.0057500.00 depending on year of study and experience.

The salary range for this position is: $54500.00$56000.00
