Purpose

The Power Markets team at CEEW informs and shapes the evolution of power markets in India including assessing the existing and emerging challenges in integrating renewable energy (RE) with the grid and ensuring efficient and financially healthy discoms. We are looking for a consultant to join our dynamic team and contribute to advancing the ongoing research and implementation efforts at the statelevel. The role will include conducting robust modelling exercises for simulating statelevel electricity demand generation and transmission systems to identify strategies for accelerated RE integration in interconnected grids.

The candidate must have strong demonstrable experience in power system modelling with a good understanding and ability to apply realworld scenarios. The candidate must also be informed about the evolving technologies and cuttingedge research supporting costeffective integration of renewable energy in India and other countries.

Job Duties and Accountabilities

Primary Responsibilities

The candidate will simulate future power systems at the statelevel and undertake robust quantitative analyses based on model results. The roles and responsibilities are outlined below.
