Job Description
The Counseling Specialist IV provides advanced counseling skills in the field of psychology counseling and social work. Responsible for utilizing specialized skills to counsel students with complex personal educational vocational or related problems.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Provides direct clinical services including individual and group counseling to assist clients in the residential communities on campus. Facilitate psychoeducational groups workshops and outreach activities in the residential communities
Minimum Qualifications
Masters degree or equivalent in social work clinical or counseling psychology or counseling and/or equivalent relevant experience with three 3 years of experience in a clinical counseling setting. Three 3 years of experience in a special counseling setting and licensed as a mental health provider in the state of Texas.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience in a college mental health setting.
Work Schedule
Monday Friday 8:00am 5:00pm Some evening and weekend work may be required.
