The University of Maryland School of Medicine seeks a radiologist for a faculty position in the Section of Abdominal Imaging at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore. The section covers all aspects of Abdominal imaging including CT PET/CT MR Radiography Fluoroscopy Ultrasound and image guided procedures with faculty subspecialization where appropriate. The department has 3T and 1.5T clinical and research MR scanners PET/MR fusion hyperpolarized MR newest generation dual source/dual energy CT scanners CT fluoroscopy interventional systems and Ultrasound equipment with 3D fusion elastography and contrastenhanced capabilities. The Abdominal section participates in several multidisciplinary conferences and is heavily invested in resident and medical school education.
The University Medical Center campus has 1000 beds and radiology services are also provided for the adjacent Baltimore VA Medical Center and remotely for several University affiliated system hospitals and offcampus imaging facilities.
Expected rank is Assistant Professor or higher. Rank and tenure status is dependent on candidates qualifications and appointments to the School of Medicine will be made at an academic level appropriate for the candidates experience. The University offers competitive salary and benefits time for academic pursuits and funding for continuing medical education. Applicants must be ABR certified or eligible meet the requirements for Maryland licensure and should have both fellowship training and research and/or education interests in Abdominal imaging. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the departments clinical education and research missions. The proposed hire date is July 2024 or earlier by agreement.
