Job Description
NOCCCD is now accepting applications for Theatrical Lighting/Stagecraft Instructor PoolPartTime at Fullerton College! Lighting classes are held Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11:20 AM 1:50 PM in the Fall and 8:30 AM 11:00 AM in the Spring.

Desirable Qualifications
Prior teaching experience within the topics of theatrical and event lighting. Strong working knowledge and experience with ETC lighting consoles lighting networking and various intelligent lighting fixtures. Familiarity with show control and DMX peripherals. Software experience with ETC Nomad ETC Augment Vectorworks and Lightwright. Understanding of CTE program objectives with a robust background in theatrical electrician work at a theme park or entertainment venue. LMS experience/training (canvas). Detailed experience teaching technical theatre courses especially introductory classes with innovative teaching practices supporting success and retention of women students of color and students with disabilities. Experience collaborating with faculty staff and/or community leaders in programs and initiatives that are specifically designed to assist historically underrepresented students achieve their educational goals.
Minimum Qualifications
Any Bachelors degree or higher AND two years of professional experience directly related to the facultys teaching assignment OR Any Associate degree AND six years of professional experience directly related to the faculty members teaching assignment OR Possess a valid California teaching credential authorizing service in a community college in the appropriate subject matter area Commitment to diversity. All applicants must have demonstrated sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic socioeconomic cultural disability gender gender identity sexual orientation and ethnic backgrounds of community college students faculty and staff. The applicant must be able to demonstrate how these factors relate to the need for equity minded practices within the classroom.
