Be part of one of the largest cannabis celebrations in the country!Were hiring a large security team to ensure the safety and security of attendees staff and vendors at Civic Center Park on April 20th.
Role:Event Security Officer
Location:Civic Center Park Denver CO

Date & Shift: April 20 2025 (FULL DAY 4/20/2025
Pay:$20.00/HR

Job Functions
- Security Presence & Defense: Ensure the safety and security of event guests staff and assets.
- Cannabis & Alcohol Enforcement: Monitor and maintain liquor & cannabis regulations at event ensuring attendees follow CO laws on consumption sale and designated areas.
- Incident Response: Respond promptly to security concerns medical situations or disturbances within festival grounds.
- Event Safety: Be aware of environmental risks (i.e. extreme weather or other hazards) and assist in directing attendees to safe locations in event of evacuation.
- Perimeter & Crowd Management: Conduct perimeter patrols manage entry points and control crowd flow to prevent congestion and maintain a safe experience.
- Bag Checks & Security Screening: Perform security checks on attendees including age verification bag searches wand detection and ensuring prohibited items are not brought into the venue.
- Lost Items & Patrons: Assist in locating lost items and individuals.
- Customer Service: Provide friendly clear directions to festival attendees to essential areas such as exits med tents and restrooms while ensuring festival rule are followed.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with fellow security staff event managers law enforcement and medical staff to ensure a smooth safe event experience.
- Incident Documentation: Record and report all security and safety incidents and concerns to supervisors as they occur.
Requirements
- Employment Eligibility: Provide 2 forms of ID and eligibility/authorization to work in the US
- Age: 21
- Education: High School diploma or GED.
- Attitude: Energetic punctual and positive maintaining focus and professionalism in a fastpaced festival environment.
- Communication Skills: Proficiency in English (reading writing speaking); Spanish is a plus.
- Cannabis Consumption: Must be comfortable working around and not partaking in cannabis consumption. This includes smoke vapor and strong smells.
- Screening: Ability to pass a background check (no felonies DV etc. in previous 10 years)
- Transportation: Reliable transportation to and from event. (CIVIC CENTER PARK DENVER CO)
- Tech Literacy: Basic technology skills and ownership of a working smartphone and accessible email account
- Event Logistics: Ability to understand and comply with eventspecific rules and regulations (e.g. ID checks wristbands bag checks).
- Physical Ability:Can stand sit walk jog crouch bend over and carry 50lbs in a variety of environments.
- Weather Tolerance: This is an OUTDOOR FESTIVAL. Be prepared for all weather conditions. (Coats & Parkas provided!
$20 $20 an hour
