Responsibilities: This position is responsible for research pertaining to current client news and events writing press releases and media advisories and assisting with client accounts as needed. This position requires an exceptional work ethic as well as professional writing and research abilities.
- Research write edit and factcheck press releases statements and editorials
- Develop and curate customized media contract lists tailored for each clients location audience and campaigns
- Identify opportunities in the news cycle
- Collaborate and brainstorm alongside a team to assign tasks to ensure deadlines and deliverables are met
- Master and utilize company PR tools (such as Cision and Meltwater)
- Create analysis for client/media interactions and circulation
- Research establish and develop media relationships
- Present superb written material by requested deadlines
- Increase media interactions with client press releases measured by company analytics
- Other activities as assigned by manager
The responsibilities are many various and not limited to those listed above.
Requirements
- Currently working towards BSc/BA or recent graduate in Public Relations Communications Business or a related field
- Background in researching writing and editing publications
- Interest in different industries particularly in Faith Business and Government
- Excellent writing skills in multiple formats
- Presentation skills
- Project and Time management
- Problemsolving aptitude
- Results driven
- Knowledge of AP Style
