Notre Dame Prep is searching for a School Counselor beginning theschool year. Notre Dame Prep School Counselors work closely with the Academic Vice Principal the Academic Interventionist and the NDP counseling team to support students in their academic endeavors. This includes but is not limited to: making recommendations to students regarding class selections advising students regarding the accuracy and completeness of records and credits assisting students with scholarship college entrance and financial aid applications and providing support services to individual students small groups and classrooms when necessary.For their four years at NDP students are provided two counselors: an SEA (social emotional and academic) and a Collegiate/Career. NDP School Counselors monitor student academic progress in order to make referrals to the Academic Interventionist when necessary. Additionally NDP SEA School Counselors monitor the social/emotional health of their students and make referrals to outside personal counselors when necessary.

- An ability to work with a diverse teaching staff
- Knowledge of and experience with academic referrals
- Knowledge of and experience with the college application process
- Ability to support a variety of student needs
It is preferred that the applicant is a certified high school counselor or holds an LPC though other relevant certifications and licenses will be considered.
