New London Local Schools is a small closeknit rural district located in Huron County Ohio serving approximately 900 students. We pride ourselves on fostering a supportive educational environment where staff and community work hand in hand to create enriching learning experiences. Our Family and Consumer Science (FCS) program has been a cornerstone of our high school curriculum and with the upcoming retirement of our longserving teacher we are excited to find an individual passionate about modernizing and leading this essential program into the future.

Position Summary:
We are seeking a qualified Family and Consumer Science teacher with a vision to reimagine our program while maintaining its core values. This role involves working with district and building level leadership to develop curricula that align with Ohios standards engaging students with practical life skills and collaborating with faculty to foster an inclusive learning environment.

Responsibilities:

Develop and teach engaging lessons aligned with Ohios FCS standards.
Inspire students through projectbased learning in areas such as financial literacy nutrition child development and career exploration.
Collaborate with other teachers and staff to ensure students receive wellrounded instruction.
Participate in professional development and school initiatives.

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Family and Consumer Sciences Education or a related field.
Ohio teaching license in Family and Consumer Sciences or eligibility to obtain one.
Strong organizational communication and interpersonal skills.
A passion for empowering students to develop essential life skills.
