Job Description
Job Description: Sr. Electrical Engineer Solar Project
Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer to oversee the electrical design installation testing and commissioning of a solar power project. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with regulatory standards optimizing system efficiency and coordinating with various stakeholders to ensure successful project .
Key Responsibilities:
1. Electrical Design & Engineering
- Design electrical layouts singleline diagrams (SLDs) and system architecture for solar power plants.
- Perform load flow shortcircuit and protection coordination studies.
- Design and size transformers inverters switchgear cables and grounding systems.
- Ensure compliance with national and international electrical codes (IEC NEC CEA etc..
2. Project & Installation
- Supervise the installation of electrical components such as inverters transformers switchgear SCADA and protection systems.
- Ensure quality control during procurement and installation.
- Coordinate with the civil and mechanical teams to ensure smooth of electrical works.
- Oversee electrical cabling earthing and lightning protection system installations.
3. Testing & Commissioning
- Conduct precommissioning and commissioning tests on electrical equipment.
- Troubleshoot and rectify any electrical issues during testing.
- Ensure the grid synchronization of the solar power plant.
4. Compliance & Documentation
- Ensure adherence to local electrical safety and environmental regulations.
- Prepare and maintain all projectrelated documentation including test reports drawings and asbuilt reports.
- Coordinate with government agencies DISCOMs and EPC contractors for approvals.
Key Skills & Qualifications:
- Education: B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering.
- Experience: Experience in solar power plant design installation or commissioning.
- Strong knowledge of power system design protection and control systems.
- Familiarity with solar inverters switchgear SCADA and grid interconnection requirements.
- Strong problemsolving and analytical skills.
- Good communication and team coordination abilities.
