Who you are

As the Controller in New York (Avenue of the Americas 6th Avenue) you are responsible for the direction and supervision of the regional accounting office to provide quality and timely accounting services to our customers. Through planning supervising training and supporting the accounting team the Assistant Regional Controller improves Colliers profitability and achieves its mission.

You bring a positive attitude in everything you do as demonstrated in strong relationships with your clients and colleagues. You also look for opportunities for continuous improvement by monitoring and reviewing accounting processes and procedures and recommending improvements to increase efficiency and improve internal controls. Youre flexible and can jump in to help others whenever necessary. You enjoy collaborating with other subject matter experts and regional leaders to develop innovative solutions to support our business objectives and growth plans.

What you bring:

• 5 years of progressive accounting experience in the commercial real estate industry; mid large operations of commercial office buildings.
• Bachelors degree
• Proficiency in MRI
• Experience in Lease Administration reading and understanding complex office and retail lease documents
• Experience in leading and developing highperforming teams

Bonus skills and experience

• Advanced education in accounting; CPA designation is an asset
• Experience with audits strong understanding of accounting standards
• Real Estate industry accounting experience including office industrial and retail properties

What success looks like:

• An understanding of institutional investment reporting criteria
• You successfully ensure the accuracy and productivity of all property management accounting and financial activities.
• Increases operational efficiency for staffing levels and workloads to maximize efficiencies and profitability for the company.
• Ensures that financial reporting is accurate and that reports are issued on time.
• Effectively coordinates activities with internal or external auditors and others.

Approximate Salary Range for this Role: $107000 $122500

Our salary ranges are determined by role level and location. The range displayed on this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors including jobrelated skills experience and relevant education or training.
