Job Description
Our client a leading company in the mining industry is seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Engineer to oversee the planning and delivery of major mining projects. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead multidisciplinary teams drive innovation and ensure the successful implementation of critical infrastructure and operational improvements.
Duties & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and execute mining projects from conception to completion ensuring they meet technical financial and operational objectives.
- Develop project scopes budgets schedules and risk assessments.
- Coordinate with internal teams contractors and stakeholders to ensure seamless project .
- Ensure compliance with health safety and environmental regulations.
- Conduct technical evaluations feasibility studies and engineering design reviews.
- Optimize project efficiency by implementing best practices and continuous improvement strategies.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and project team members.
Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical Civil Electrical or Mining Engineering (or related field).
- Proven experience in project engineering within the mining industry.
- Strong knowledge of mining operations processing plants and infrastructure projects.
- Experience managing largescale projects including CAPEX projects.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements environmental impact assessments and safety standards.
- Excellent problemsolving leadership and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in project management tools and engineering design software.
