Principal Product Manager - Technical EC2 Networking

Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) networking is looking for a dynamic and seasoned product leader to help define and build the future of cloud computing for high performance computing. Customers today are rapidly evolving and looking for ways to bring large language ML models and gen AI to their organizations and applications. These customers rely on Amazon EC2 and EFA to provide elastic high performance secure and cost effective resources to scale their infrastructure to keep up with their changing business needs. Within EC2 you will work with a team that defines the strategy and roadmap for delivering this performance scale and in many cases new features/products to customers. As a member of the broader EC2 Product Management team youll join other highly respected product and engineering leaders to create the future of the computing platform.

You will be responsible for full lifecycle product management of compute and networking solutions that have an outsized impact on accelerating digital transformation across several customer workloads including AI/ML generative AI databases High Performance Computing and more. This is a unique opportunity to innovate across all layers of the solution stack (ranging from end customer applications all the way down to the core infrastructure including Elastic Fabric Adapter and the AWS custom chip Nitro). You will have strong ownership over strategy product definition feature prioritization messaging pricing adoption customer interaction sales enablement and team development. This is a high visibility and high impact role that will interact with all levels of AWS leadership.

Key job responsibilities
Lead the definition and of the product strategy for EC2 compute features and Elastic Fabric Adapter for high performance computing applications.
Define and gather the customer inputs to make highquality product and roadmap decisions.
Work with leaders across AWS Amazon and our partners to deliver cutting edge innovation all while working backwards from customer needs.
Define product requirements priorities methods for measurement and track their and success.
Communicate with senior management on project status strategy risks and issues.
Work closely with multiple engineering teams and designers to deliver results to customer.

The EC2 networking product team has product leaders that own a portfolio of 30 products and services. We have a broad mix of experience levels and tenures and we foster an environment that celebrates knowledge sharing and mentorship. 7 years of technical (software development network development IT other related) experience
Experience delivering largescale SaaS PaaS or LaaS products where you are responsible for the full product lifecycle from concept through GTM (go to market)
5 years of working as a Technical Product Manager experience

MBA or Masters degree
Experience delivering enterprise infrastructure products and services in a high growth environment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated experience engaging and influencing senior executives
Excellent analytical and quantitative skills
Demonstrated ability to understand and discuss technical concepts manage tradeoffs and evaluate opportunistic new ideas with internal and external partners
Experience with influencing and working with large external companies as well as senior leadership
High attention to detail including precise and effective customer communications
Ability to think strategically and execute methodically
Strong learn and be curious

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $163000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $281800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
