*Initial salary will be between $228823.00 $242717.00 annually to commensurate with education and experience.

Current Assignment
The Assistant Chief Transportation Officer Service Delivery is responsible for directing the operations of all department services and activities including management of the Districts train service and station operations on assigned lines managing the Transit Operations Division which includes station and yard operations providing oversight of the Transportation team ensuring safe reliable and timely service while providing great customer service.
The Assistant Chief Transportation Officer Service Delivery is also responsible for collaborating with Capital Projects Division and contractors to review and design expansion and enhancement projects from project development through final design focusing on operational performance and safety.
Selection Process
Applications will be screened to assure that minimum qualifications are met. Those applicants who meet minimum qualifications will then be referred to the hiring department for the completion of further selection processes.
The selection process for this position may include a skills/performance demonstration a written examination and a panel and/or individual interview.
The successful candidate must have an employment history demonstrating reliability and dependability; provide copies of certificates diplomas or other documents as required by law including those establishing his/her right to work in the U. S; pass a preemployment medical examination which may include a drug and alcohol screen and which is specific to the essential job functions and requirements. Preemployment processing will also include a background check. (Does not apply to current fulltime District employees unless specific job requires additional evaluations).
Education:
Possession of a bachelors degree in Business Administration Transportation or a closely related field from an accredited college or university.
Experience:
The equivalent of seven 7 years of fulltime professional verifiable experience in tower/control center operations transportation operations or closely related experience which must have included the equivalent of at least two 2 years of management experience.
Other Requirements:
On call responsibility for managing assigned lines twentyfour 24 hours per day seven 7 days per week.
Substitution:
Additional professional experience as outlined above may be substituted for the education on a year foryear basis. A college degree is preferred.
