Job Description
An UAV company in Cape Town is seeking a Production Technician to join their team.
Duties & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble electrical looms according to technical drawings specifications and quality standards.
- Inspect test and troubleshoot looms to ensure they meet both functional and safety standards.
- Collaborate with engineering and design teams to ensure accurate and efficient production processes.
- Perform quality control checks on finished products and maintain detailed production records.
- Adhere to health and safety protocols at all times while working in the production environment.
- Maintain equipment and machinery in optimal working condition.
- Ensure the timely completion of production tasks meeting deadlines and quality targets.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in electrical assembly ideally within the aerospace industry or similar highprecision sectors.
- Solid knowledge of aircraft electrical systems and loom wiring.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Ability to use hand tools measuring instruments and electrical testing equipment.
- Excellent problemsolving skills and ability to work independently and within a team.
- Good communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet production deadlines.
- A background in electrical engineering or related disciplines is preferred.
